How Toolstation went DIY for their conference with VenuIQ

Toolstation’s annual conference, Together 2023, was held at Twickenham Stadium on Thursday, 31st August 2023. Over 600 franchise managers and staff attended the conference.

Utilising VenuIQ’s automatic check-in feature in the Together 2023 app, guests were fast-tracked into the event. The in-app scanning module of the administration app that accompanies all VenuIQ events means guests merely have to show their event pass on their phone to organisers to gain entry. It’s quick and seamless and enables large crowds to be efficiently moved into venues without long queues forming.

In addition to check-in, Together 2023’s organisers used their event app to provide an information hub for attendees, allowing them to find out information on accommodation nearby and the best travel routes to the stadium.

Attendees were also able to plan their day with the Agenda function of the app, letting them plan a personalised agenda for the day.

Finally, guests used the app to ask questions in the Q&A module, along with some polls which let guests vote on questions set by speakers. This type of Q&A question selection is popular at events as it lets speakers see which is the most popular questions and answer those when time is limited.

The day was rounded off with an evening dinner and awards ceremony, all held in the spectacular surroundings of the home of rugby, Twickenham.
